Although The Merchant of Venice was rained out in July, actors from the Tennessee Stage Company will be returning on September 18 to perform the conclusion of the story. First, they’ll present a synopsis of the play, followed by the concluding acts. This performance will be indoors, so come to the library to enjoy a Shakespearean production.

Last Friday Art Walk offers artistic ‘Tribute to Music’

The Last Friday Art Walk will take on a musical flavor this month, with the theme for the event dubbed “The Tribute to Music.”
Much of the artwork shown or demonstrated in the walk will be inspired or influenced by music in some way. The event is organized by the Maryville Arts Coalition. Katie Gamble, Maryville Arts Coalition events coordinator, said many of the locations would have musical artists in addition to their scheduled featured artists. Full story »
