Alcoa City adjusts waste collection for Thanksgiving

FurlSolid waste collection in the city of Alcoa will be adjusted during Thanksgiving week.
Households normally scheduled for pick up on Thursday, Nov. 27 will receive their service on Friday, Nov. 28.
Friday’s garbage and recycling routes will be run without interruption. However, there will be no bulky waste or leaf collection on Thursday or Friday. Commercial and industrial waste will not be collected on Thursday; normal commercial routes will resume on Friday.
The Landfill will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving but will resume normal operations on Friday, Nov. 28.
If there are questions concerning these changes, please call the Alcoa Public Works Department at 380-4815 or 380-4800 or the Landfill at 995-2892.
