Two authors will be presenting programs about their books, and this year, there will be two Tellabration! storytelling events, one for young children and their parents and the other for families of all ages.  
And, if you’ve always wanted to know how to play Mahjongg, the Maryville Mahjongg League will be doing several hours of demonstration of the game, with invitations to join in for any interested players who want to learn to play the game.
As usual, there will be a variety of events at the library.

In collaboration with Maryville College, Blount County Schools, Blount Education Initiative, and Knox County Public Library, there will be a series of programs, concerts, readings, and discussions about the book, The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, and related topics of the years of the Great Depression and poverty.  The Knoxville YWCA received the grant to fund this year’s regional participation in The Big Read, a National Endowment for the Arts initiative.
